Susan is a lifelong resident of Meigs County. She is a graduate of Eastern High School, followed by Hocking Technical College where she earned an associate degree in Travel and Tourism. After spending time working as a tour guide for Park Tours and then retail management, she landed a position at ElectroCraft in Gallipolis, Ohio. Throughout her 13yrs at ElectroCraft she progressively held more responsible positions with ten of those years working in Inside Sales. After needing a change, she decided to return to college to continue her education. She attended the University of Rio Grande and graduated Suma Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, but she was not done yet. After receiving a full scholarship to Ohio University, she graduated with a master’s degree in Public Administration. She has held several positions in higher education including the Dean of Public Safety Services at her alma mater Hocking College and the Office Manager and Instructor for the College of Business at Ohio Valley University in Vienna, WV which closed its doors during Covid-19. After a year outside of the workforce she had the opportunity to accept her current position as the Executive Director of the Meigs County Chamber of Commerce.
Being the Executive Director allows Susan to combine her education and professional experiences to give back to the community that she holds so dear. In addition to her position at the Chamber Susan also sets on the Board of Directors for the Gallia, Meigs Community Action Agency.
Susan currently lives in the Five Point area of Pomeroy with her husband of 15yrs Greg White. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
